Located in the City of Fort Lauderdale, this project improved drainage and stormwater conveyance within Osceola Creek. The scope of work included dredging and disposal of creek-bed material, bank stabilization, removal of exotic vegetation, trimming or removal of mangroves and trees, and native species planting. Careful handling and disposal of dredged material was necessary due to the contaminated nature of the material. To mitigate risks to the environment and waterways, CHC engaged in extra efforts to monitor and limit turbidity.
