Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane Protection Project Miami Beach Renourishment

This US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District project involved placing approximately 860,000 CY of beach sand along eroded shoreline areas in Miami-Dade County. CHC worked to renourish beaches at the following Miami Beach locations: 64th Street, 55th Street, 46th Street, and 27th Street. Additionally, roughly 2 miles of shoreline revetment seagrass plantings and other wetland vegetation were installed. This project also involved the monitoring of protected species within the beach fill area.
