Located within the shallow protected waters of the Biscayne National Park, this project included multiple hurricane repairs at 3 remote island locations. Boca Chita Key beach restoration required barging sand from the mainland to repair the key’s eroded shoreline. Elliott Key consisted of the demolition and removal of a boardwalk within a sensitive mangrove environment.
Adams Key entailed the demolition and removal of a concrete dock and construction of a new precast post tension dock with new pilings. CHC also undertook the reconstruction of the Black Point Marina Jetty and pedestrian bridges. At Convoy Point, CHC installed a new floating dock system, a new pedestrian bridge over protected marine habitat, and reconstructed the Convoy Point Jetty.
